Keystone Mutual’s first policyholder, Joel D. Hassien, M.D., was recently inducted as a fellow in the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ceremony to induct Hassien, one of Keystone Mutual’s founding directors, took place at the formal convocation ceremony at the ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership conference in Washington DC.
“Joel’s pursuit of excellence in everything that he does reinforces the values of Keystone Mutual,” says Jim Bowlin, CEO of Keystone Mutual, a Missouri-based medical professional liability insurance company. “He’s one of the first policyholders in our company, and this honor is an indication of the kind of professional commitment he possesses.”
Hassien is president and CEO at Northeast Missouri Imaging Associates, Inc. and chairman of the department of radiology at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Mo. According to Bowlin, Hassien serves as an essential role in the success of Keystone Mutual. Due in part to his leadership, Keystone Mutual has continued its growth. Over the last 18 months, the company’s premium rose to $1.7 million – a 60% increase.
Hassien is a member of the American Medical Association, the Missouri State Medical Association and the Radiological Society of North America. Hassien received his medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
