St. Louis, Mo., July 7, 2017 – Keystone Mutual Insurance Company, a Missouri-based medical malpractice carrier, has appointed David von Gontard as the company’s General Counsel. In this position, von Gontard will be responsible for the legal affairs of the company and its affiliates, including claims management.

Prior to Keystone Mutual, von Gontard has practiced law in the St. Louis, Missouri area for over 15 years. His successful career has allotted him the opportunity to spearhead cases in the Eastern and Western District Missouri Court of Appeals, as well as in the Supreme Court of Missouri.
 
In addition, von Gontard worked extensively with two other medical professional liability insurers and the Missouri Department of Insurance. He holds a Bachelor’s in economics from Vanderbilt University and Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis.
